What is changing with the rebranding?
Only the name and logo.
You will begin seeing Flatlands Insurance Group on emails, documents, our website, and signage. For a period of time, you may still see the old name in certain places. That is normal during a transition. Updating every platform, directory, and printed material takes time.
If you see either name, you are in the right place.
What is staying the same?
While the name is shorter, the commitment behind it is not.
We are still focused on serving Eastern North Carolina. We are still committed to clear communication, thoughtful advice, and steady support when you need it most. We are still here in Greenville, Washington, and New Bern.

Is this a new company?

Why simplify the name?

For more than sixty years, we have helped families and business owners across Eastern North Carolina make sense of insurance. We spend our days helping people cut through confusion, understand coverage, and make practical decisions.
This change follows that same philosophy. The name is shorter. It is easier to recognize. It reflects who we are today and where we serve.
Just as we aim to simplify coverage decisions for our clients, we decided it was time to simplify our name.
Do I need to do anything?
No. Your policies remain in place. Your billing remains the same. Your claims process remains the same. Your contact information for us remains the same.
There is no paperwork to sign and no action required on your end. If you do nothing at all, everything continues as it always has.
Are your offices or phone numbers changing?
No. We continue to serve online clients throughout the country and in-person clients from our Greenville, Washington, and New Bern offices. Our phone numbers have not changed.
The person answering the phone might be from one of our other offices now, but those handling your policies and providing you service are the same.
Does the website have a different address?
Our primary website is now flatlandsgroup.com.
If you have flatlandsjessup.com bookmarked though, it will still take you to the same place.
Will my documents or certificates look different?
Possibly. As materials are updated, you may see Flatlands Insurance Group listed where Flatlands Jessup Insurance Group previously appeared. That change does not affect your policy, coverage, or carrier relationships in any way.
How do I know communications are legitimate?
It is always wise to be cautious.
Emails from us will overtime reflect the new name and logo. Our email addresses will also change from @flatlandsjessup.com to @flatlandsgroup.com. What will not change is how we communicate.

In addition to annual company-wide projects working with Toys for Tots and the Salvation Army, we are one of the primary sponsors for Ripe for Revival.
Ripe for Revival is a local nonprofit that collects donated food from farmers and distributes it to low-income communities using mobile buses.
Last year, we donated a bus to support their efforts. With that bus alone, over 29,000 meals were served across Eastern North Carolina. Our team also volunteers during work hours each week to help with food distribution.
We truly love eastern North Carolina and feel blessed to be able to call it home. Our goal will always be to help build a stronger community for our local families and businesses.
